DONATING BIKES

Kickstand is grateful for the generous offers of donated bikes, and we’re happy to support our community by helping get unused bikes into good hands. If you have a bike or two to donate please drop of your bike donations to our shop during open hours.  

About large quantity bike donations

We can arrange to pick up donated bikes from residential buildings, bike cages, or homes. This service is available by request and coordinated based on volunteer availability and size of donation. Kickstand may not have capacity to pick up or store the bikes, so we will agree upon pickups on a case by case basis.

Pickup Fee

We ask for a minimum donation of $50. This fee helps cover:

• Gas or transportation costs

• Volunteer time and coordination

• A donation to the shop to support the time it takes to sort, refurbish, or responsibly recycle the donated bikes

What We Can Accept

• Bikes in repairable condition are always welcome

• If the pickup includes multiple bikes or non-bike items (e.g., wheels, frames, parts), please let us know in advance so we can confirm capacity and value

 Access Info

• Please ensure that access to the building or bike cage is arranged in advance

• Let us know if we will have to be cutting locks

How to Arrange a Pickup

To request a pickup, email kickstandbikes@gmail.com with:

• The pickup address

• Number and condition of bikes. Photos are highly appreciated so we can assess the state of the bikes

• Preferred date(s) and time(s)

• Any access instructions
